According to a survey conducted by the foreign media “Hollywood Reporter”, Nintendo’s “Super Mario Bros.” is the most popular game-adapted film for Americans. Therefore, the film will be generally favored at the North American box office next year.
Who has never played this game?
“Super Mario Bros.” is the best-selling game series in history, not one of them.
After its first release in 1981, it has been adapted into a movie several times.
Including the weird “Super Mario Bros.” in 1993, the box office was only 20 million, which has nothing to do with the game itself.
The “Hollywood Reporter” survey was conducted among 2,200 American adults on February 21-23, 2020.
The survey found that 44% of users are “very” or “somewhat” interested in “Mario” movies.
“Pac-Man” and “Mario Kart” tied for second place, with 37% of users interested.
Among these three game adaptation movies, male and female users are interested in almost half and half, while black users are particularly interested in them.
“Super Mario Bros.: The Movie” will be released on December 21, 2022.
