The trailer for the three-episode miniseries “A Very British Scandal Season 2” starring Claire Foy (“The Crown”), Paul Bettany (“Wanda Vision”) and Julia Davis has been released.
The play is directed by Anne Sewitsky (“Ice”) and written by Sarah Phelps (“No One Lives” and “Witness for the Prosecution”).
The series focuses on one of the most notorious, unusual and cruel legal cases of the 20th century-the divorce between the Duke of Campbell and the Duchess Margaret.
“A Very British Scandal Season 2” tells the story of how the Duchess (Claire Foy) was betrayed by her friends and publicly humiliated by the society that took pleasure in her degeneration.
Margaret Campbell is a British socialite who was involved in sex scandals in the 1960s and is known as the “scandal queen”.
Her divorce charges include forgery, theft, violence, drug use, secret recordings, bribery and an explicit Polaroid photo.
All this was exposed under the frenetic attention of the media.
“A Very British Scandal Season 1” starring Hugh Grant and Ben Whishaw, the series tells the story of a politician and his gay man. It has been aired in 2018.
“A Very British Scandal Season 2” will premiere on the BBC on December 26 and will be launched on Amazon next year. Each episode will be one hour long.
