It is unclear whether they plan to sell it as a whole or keep a small portion of the shares, and possible buyers include Nexstar, a major local TV station in the United States.
With a younger style, CW has launched many popular dramas such as “Supernatural [SPN]”, “The Flash”, “Arrow” and “Riverdale”.
But its profitability has been poor for more than a decade since its establishment, and most of its revenue comes from streaming media and international sales.
But with the two parent companies pushing their own streaming media HBO Max and Paramount+, CW’s income situation has been even more damaged.
