According to foreign media reports, the famous director David Lynch will cooperate with Steven Spielberg. It is reported that Lynch will star in Spielberg’s new semi-autobiographical growth film “The Fabelmans”.
Currently, “The Fabelmans” has completed pre-filming and is in post-production, and the role of David Lynch is still unknown.
In terms of actors, newcomers Gabriel LaBelle as Sammy Fabelman, Michelle Williams as Sammy’s mother, Paul Dano as Sammy’s father, Seth Rogen as Sammy’s uncle, Julia Butters as Sammy’s sister Anne Fabelman, and Sam Rechner as the hero’s high school classmate Chad.
Steven Spielberg will write the script alongside longtime collaborator Tony Kushner.
“The Fabelmans” is based on Spielberg’s life experiences, focusing on the male protagonist’s upbringing and his relationship with his parents.
The protagonist lives in Phoenix, Arizona, like Spielberg. In the late 1950s and early 1960s, Spielberg lived in Phoenix.
He’s also shooting family and adventure movies with his father’s 8mm camcorder while confronting anti-Semitism.
The Spielberg family moved to California during high school, then his parents divorced and he lived with his father.
The tension with his father also inspired Spielberg to create films such as E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Hook, Jurassic Park and more.
Currently, “The Fabelmans” is scheduled to be released in North America on November 23 this year.
