The already released “Scream 5” performed well at the box office, and the producers decided to shoot “Scream 6” while the movie was hot.
At present, “Scream 6” has been approved, the fifth director Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Tyler Gillett and writers James Vanderbilt, Guy Busick will return.
According to Paramount’s schedule, “Scream 6” will be launched this summer, and no further details of the film’s plot have been revealed for the time being.
“Scream 5,” which is currently in theaters, has already crossed the $100 million mark at the box office. For a low-budget horror film, that’s enough to start production on a sequel.
