Quentin Tarantino’s next directorial work – the series “Justified”?
Deadline EXCLUSIVE: Quentin Tarantino is in early talks with the show’s producers to direct one or two episodes of the “Justified” sequel, “Justified: City Primeval.”
At the beginning of this year, FX announced that its hit drama “Justified” will return after 7 years, and will make a follow-up limited series.
Timothy Olyphant will also return as Marshal Raylan Givens, with “Justified” writers and directors Dave Andron and Michael Dinner serving as executives.
“Justified: City Primeval” is based on the novel “City Primeval: High Noon In Detroit” by “Justified” original author Elmore Leonard.
“Justified: City Primeval” tells the story of eight years later, Raylan, who has left Kentucky for Miami, continues to work as a bailiff and raises his 14-year-old daughter.
However, an encounter on the Florida freeway takes him to Detroit, where he meets a violent sociopath, the “Oklahoma Savage”.
There was nothing the local police could do about this man, and now he wants to escape the law again.
Quentin Tarantino and Timothy Olyphant recently collaborated on “Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood”, and Quentin loves Elmore Leonard, whose “Jackie Brown” is based on Leonard’s novel “Rum Punch”, also mentions Leonard Other works were made into movies.
He also likes watching dramas and has directed single episodes of “ER” and “CSI”.
