George Clooney’s latest directorial work “The Boys in the Boat” has a new cast.
It is reported that Courtney Henggeler, who once performed well in the American drama “Cobra Kai”, will join the crew.
In addition, “The Boys in the Boat” has confirmed the cast of Callum Turner, Joel Edgerton, Sam Strike, Luke Slattery and others.
“The Boys in the Boat” is based on the non-fiction novel of the same name by Daniel James Brown, and tells the true story of nine University of Washington boys who trained 8-man rowers in 1936 to win the Olympic Games in Nazi Germany.

The central character of the story is Joel, who was admitted to the University of Washington during the Great Depression because of his outstanding physical fitness.
Joel and the rest of the team went through three years of perseverance from scratch under the torment of the coach.
In the end, they defeated the mighty German team on behalf of the US team and lifted the Olympic trophy in front of Hitler’s eyes.
After the game, Joel and his teammates did not become prosperous ever since they won the Olympic championship. This difficult experience has brought them an overall improvement in spirit.
