It was reported a few days ago from Fandom that “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” is less than six weeks away from filming.
“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” is the finale of the series and the last time the existing members of the Guardians of the Galaxy get together.
The last time I saw Guardians of the Galaxy was in Endgame, after which they left Earth.
While the plot of “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” remains a mystery, it’s likely to start around their search for Gamora. Zoe Saldana has confirmed that he will return to the film, and there will be no shortage of Gamora to end the story.
Before today, everyone should be mentally prepared.
Both Nebula and Mantis said the script for “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” was very touching and made me cry. Zoe Saldana mentioned that the film was the end of the series. Dave Bautista hinted that this is the end of Drax’s story in the MCU.
Director James Gunn mentioned something about “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” in a recent interaction with fans.

A netizen asked how the “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” filming atmosphere was, and Gunn replied:
“Honestly, they’re great, and I love every cast and crew. But there’s also a lot of sadness, knowing that this is the last silverback movie for most of us, and we’re in tears almost every day.”
Another netizen pleaded with Gunn that this doesn’t have to be the last gathering of the existing main cast.
But Gunn reiterated his previous statement that “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” was the last of them.
Another Australian netizen asked about “Thor: Love and Thunder”. He said he had seen reports that Vin Diesel was on set in Australia, but not Bradley Cooper.
He worries that Rocket might be the only Silverguard member not to appear in “Thor: Love and Thunder”.
Gunn responded: “Neither Vin nor Bradley were on the set of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’. (Neither did they appear on the set of ‘Thor’ as far as I know)”
That means…the duo dubbing Groot and Rocket only appeared in the studio, not the live-action set.
This is also normal, because the actors who do the motion capture for these two characters are other people, they are just voiced alone.
The current members of the Guardians of the Galaxy include: Star-Lord, Rocket, Groot, Drax, Nebula and Mantis. (Gamora has to look first)
“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” is set for release in North America on May 5, 2023.
