The 75th Cannes Film Festival announced the film list, and the main competition unit gathered famous and powerful films.
These include Hirokazu Koreeda’s first Korean film “Broker”, “Decision To Leave” directed by Chan-wook Park and starring Wei Tang, “Crimes of the Future” written and directed by David Cronenberg, James Gray “Armageddon Time”, etc. A total of 18 films were shortlisted.

The film “Z (comme Z)” (French version of “One Cut of the Dead”) directed by “The Artist” director Michel Hazanavicius will be the opening film at Cannes.
Tom Cruise’s “Top Gun: Maverick” and Baz Luhrmann’s musical biopic “Elvis” starring Tom Hanks have officially announced their out-of-competition screenings at Cannes.
In addition, Jung-jae Lee (“Squid Game”) directed the film “Hunt” co-starring Woo-sung Jung, Hye-jin Jeon, Seon-kyu Jin, Ji-hun Ju, etc., and was shortlisted for the midnight screening unit.
“Irma Vep”, based on the film of the same name starring Maggie Cheung and written and directed by Olivier Assayas, was shortlisted in the “Cannes Premiere” section.
The Cannes Film Festival will be held from May 17-28.
