The animated version of “Star Wars” is here! Participated in the creation by the Japanese animation studio, the style of painting has that flavor.
Lucas and Disney+ released the first trailer for the anime series “Star Wars: Visions” and revealed that all nine episodes will be released on September 22, 2021.
It is reported that this animation series will be created by seven Japanese animation studios, and will use “their iconic animation and narrative style to realize their imagination of distant galaxies.”
Lucas allows the plot of the show to not strictly conform to the official schedule of “Star Wars”, even if they want to use established characters.
James Waugh said: “We really want to give creators a broad creative space, allowing them to explore all the potential of the “Star Wars” galaxy through a unique animation lens.
They also hope that they can make a truly impressive series, different from the “Star Wars” series we have seen before.
The following are the studios responsible for the production of “Star Wars: Visions” and the names of the episodes they are responsible for:
Kamikaze Douga – The Duel
Geno Studio (Twin Engine) – Lop and Ochō
Studio Colorido (Twin Engine) – Tatooine Rhapsody
Trigger – The Twins
Trigger – The Elder
Kinema Citrus – The Village Bride
Science Saru – Akakiri
Science Saru – T0-B1
Production IG – The Ninth Jedi
From the samurai-style Jedi to the “space anthropomorphic rabbit”, to the dark side twins, and the story between the master and the apprentice around the “Star Wars” theme.
Each episode will be rich in diversity and uniqueness.
When George Lucas created the “Star Wars” movie, he was influenced by Japanese culture to a certain extent.
Now it is a coincidence that Lucas has invited seven Japanese animation companies to produce nine-episode animation short films.
