According to media reports, the second part of the Yi Sun-Shin trilogy directed by Han-min Kim, “Hansan”(한산: 용의 출현), first revealed the trailer. Hae-il Park will replace Min-sik Choi in “Roaring Currents” as Yi Sun-Shin. It will be released in South Korea in July this year.
“Hansan” also features Yo-han Byun, Sung-kee Ahn, Hyun-joo Son, Hyang-ki Kim, Taecyeon, Myeong Gong, and more.
The film tells the story of the “Battle of Hansan Sea” between Yi Sun-Shin and the Joseon Navy, who united with the strategy and courage to fight desperately to defend Korea, aiming at the advancing Japanese army five years ago in the Battle of Myongyang.
“Roaring Currents” was released on July 30, 2014, setting a record for a Korean movie with 17.61 million tickets.
