Julie Andrews, 86, received the American Film Institute (AFI) Lifetime Achievement Award as the cast of her classic film “The Sound of Music” reunited to celebrate.
The Von Trapp children “Friedrich” Nicholas Hammond, “Brigitta” Angela Cartwright, “Marta” Debbie Turnbull, and “The Sound of Music” were reunited to celebrate. Marta” Debbie Turner, “Carley Kurt Carley” Duane Chase and “Gretl” Kym Karath were there and sang “Do Re Mi” together. Do Re Mi” was sung.
The film was released 57 years after some other Von Trapp actors had passed away, such as Christopher “The Colonel” Plummer, Charmian “Liesl” Carr and “Louisa” Heather Menzies-Urich.
