Recently, the film ‘Persuasion’, adapted from Jane Austen’s last novel, released a large number of stills. In the stills, the film’s costumes, sets and character shapes have been exposed. Classical texture, fresh and elegant color scheme, are refreshing.
The story of ‘Persuasion’ takes place in the nineteenth century, the noble lady Anne and young seafarer Wentworth sincere love, but her father dislikes the man’s humble and poor background, the godmother is also worried about their married life embarrassment, the two strongly opposed.
The prudent Anne accepts the advice and painfully breaks off the engagement with her sweetheart. Eight years later, Captain Frederick Wentworth, who had made a fortune in the war overseas, returns home and is surprised to find that his sister’s family happens to be renting Anne’s building.
Old friends reunite, old love is unforgettable. Two young people hold hands happily after all the twists and turns, and the lovers finally become a couple.
The film is directed by Carrie Cracknell, who has been active in the British theater scene for a long time, and ‘Persuasion’ is her feature film directorial debut.
The screenwriter Ronald Bass, who won an Oscar for ‘Rain Man’, wrote the film’s script, and together with him, the screenwriter Alice Victoria Winslow. The film will be written by Ron Bass.
According to the plan, the film will land on streaming Netflix on July 15.
