The cast of ‘Misery’ remembers the late actor “Paul Sheldon” James Caan.
Kathy Bates: “Can’t believe Jimmy is gone. Working with him on ‘Misery’ was one of the most meaningful experiences of my acting career. You watch his performance, his fear, as if he were facing a snake, superb. A lot of memories come flooding back to me today, and Jimmy said, ‘Let’s get the most energetic guy in all of Hollywood and keep him in bed for 15 weeks!’ When we went to the restaurant to shoot the scene, we were all thrilled bad. He was kind and funny, and if he were still around, he would have said something insightful by now. I lost my heart and gave all my love to his family.”
Rob Reiner: “I was very sad to hear that Jimmy had left us. I loved working with him, he was a talented natural performer and the only Jew I know who could rope a calf well (Caan loved rodeos), my love goes to his family.”
