In an interview with GQ magazine, Jacob Elordi revealed that Noah, the main character he plays in the romantic comedy film ‘The Kissing Booth’, smokes in the original novel, and he was so attached to the original that he suggested that the character in the film had to smoke as well, which was rejected by Netflix:. “I remember saying: in the book he smokes, I have to smoke, he has to smoke, he’s a bad boy.
“He said he proposed the matter to Netflix several times, and even fought it until the end without success.
“I was like: What kind of shit is this, we’re going to lie to an audience of countless 14-year-olds? This character he smokes, and it says on page four of the book, look at that! But I think people’s reaction might be: Jesus Christ, is this guy serious?”
Colin Farrell claimed that Warner wouldn’t let him smoke a cigar in his role as The Penguin in ‘The Batman’, and Emma Stone claimed to have asked to smoke in ‘Cruella’, which Disney denied.
