‘Jurassic World’ series star Bryce Dallas Howard was recently asked about a 2018 ‘Variety’ story in a media insider interview, which said she was paid $8 million to appear in ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom,’ $2 million less than actor Chris Pratt’s $10 million, $2 million less.
And to that, Howard responded, “The story is interesting because I’m actually paid much, much less than even the story says.”
She revealed that the three parts of ‘Jurassic World’ were negotiated in 2014, when the situation was different from now and she had the disadvantage of signing three parts at once, and the contract was set.
Howard also said she discussed with Pratt about the difference in pay, and Pratt assured her that he would fight for her pay, and that the film’s pay was already set, but when there was a video game derived from the series, or a theme park attraction that could bring in revenue for the actor, Pratt would go and talk about equal pay for her.
Howard said, “He literally said to me, ‘You don’t have to do anything, leave the contract negotiations to me, we’ll get paid the same, you don’t have to think about any of that stuff, Bryce.’ He did that, and I love him so much, I really do, because these things pay me more than I get paid from the movie.”
