The new version of ‘All Quiet on the Western Front’ will represent Germany in the competition for the Best International Film Award at the 95th Academy Awards in 2023.
‘All Quiet on the Western Front’ was directed by Edward Berger and starred and was executive produced by Daniel Brühl.
The film is based on the classic novel of the same name written by Erich Maria Remarque, which tells the story of Paul Bäumer and his classmates Albert and Müller who joined the German National Volunteers during the First World War and were sent to the front to fight against the French.
