Universal Pictures has announced the news ‘R.I.P.D.’ will soon usher in a sequel, and tentatively announced the second part entitled “R.I.P.D. 2: Rise of the Damned”. However, the film is still in the planning stage, the original two lead actors are not yet determined whether to return.
‘R.I.P.D.’ is an action comedy film directed by Robert Schwentke and starring Ryan Reynolds, Jeff Bridges, Mary-Louise Parker and Kevin Bacon in the lead roles, released in 2013.
The movie is based on Peter Lenkov’s Dark Horse graphic novel. The story is about a rookie cop, Nick, played by Ryan Reynolds, who dies on his first assignment. The dead Nick unbelievably drifted to a department called “Underworld Police”.
