In 2021 Sony Pictures announced a ‘Metal Gear Solid’ game adaptation with director Jordan Vogt-Roberts (‘Kong: Skull Island’) directing and actor Oscar Isaac (‘Star Wars’ trilogy , ‘Moon Knight’) will play Snake.
A year has passed and the movie is still in a long-term development stage. Recently star Isaac was interviewed by ComicBook and talked about his thoughts on the film.
Isaac, who will play Snake, told ComicBook: “We all want it [the movie] to be presented to fans and gamers, and I’m always excited about it, including its script, plot and main core.’ Metal Gear Solid’ film adaptation has tremendous potential, the game is incredible and certainly a favorite of mine. I hope the movie gets finished.”
The ‘Metal Gear Solid’ series was created by Hideo Kojima in the 1980s. The original ‘Metal Gear Solid’ made its debut in Japan and Europe in 1987 for the MSX2 console platform (PC for personal games).
In 2015, ‘Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain’ was officially released and Hideo Kojima parted ways with Konami Corporation.
