‘The Lord of the Rings’ actor Bernard Hill recently said: ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’ episodes are money-grabbing acts that he is not interested in watching and starring in.
He believes that ‘The Hobbit’ is also barely for the sake of it, but the finished product is good.
Hill, who played Kings of RohanThéoden in ‘The Lord of the Rings’ movie, was asked in an interview if he had watched ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’ and he replied, “No, not interested. …… It’s a risky project to make money and I’m not interested in watching or starring in it. I wish them luck with that project, but it’s not the real thing.”
Asked if ‘The Lord of the Rings’ series should be finished in Peter Jackson’s film trilogy, Hill said, “Absolutely, yes. …… I think making ‘The Hobbit’ is just barely pushing it, because the Hobbit novels are so thin. They did a good job, really good job, expanding, (but) I think there’s a limit to how full the rubber band can be pulled. I think ‘The Hobbit’ got it right because there’s undoubtedly some great stuff in the film.”
