According to Express, sources said Warner Bros. wants to turn the stage play ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ into a film and television production, inviting the ‘Harry Potter’ golden trio Harry, Hermione and Ron starring Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint return to the cast.
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ was released in 2016 in the form of a stage play + script book, the story tells ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ 19 years after Harry’s son became friends with Draco Malfoy’s son, together with the story of adventure.
Insiders revealed that ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ became popular in 2016 when Warner Bros. wanted to bring the work to the movie screen, but the company was busy with the development of the ‘Fantastic Beasts’ movie at the time and put the project on hold.
The insider added: “Everyone wants Daniel Radcliffe and others to return, but that seems far away at the moment, and the likely plan at the moment is to split ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ into two films.”
