“Grindhouse‎” Review: A heavy-duty B-grade movie, the plot is unreasonable, but it is very enjoyable to watch!

The Mill Theater was a very popular movie theater model in the early days of the United States, which meant that one ticket could watch two films.

What about these two films? It’s mostly bizarre B-movies, exploitative films, low-budget, unknown actors, with lots of gore, dirty looks to lure young people.

Two Hollywood game directors, Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez, worked together to imitate the production and projection mode of the Mill Theater, and also launched two films “Planet Terror” and “Death Proof” at a time.

The common point of the visual effects part is that they all deliberately follow the “antique” route, adding special effects of film damage, grain, and noise to the film.

The most interesting thing is that the two films were interspersed with four fake trailers before and during the screening, which is simply a gluttonous feast for the audience who loves B-level films!

The four fake trailers also invited a number of well-known directors to direct, which shows that Quentin and his good friend Rodriguez have a very important position in the film industry.

“Machete‎” describes the revenge story of a machete-wielding professional killer in Mexico, and the fake trailer was so well received that it was later made into a real movie, “Machete‎” and “Machete Kills.”

“Don’t” is directed by Edgar Wright of Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy. It is a haunted house adventure and also uses his best quick editing technique.

“Werewolf Women of the S.S.” is directed by Rob Zombie and features scenes of German Nazi experiments and werewolves, with Nicolas Cage making a cameo role in the trailer.

Among them, “Thanksgiving” is my favorite fake trailer, which was shot by Eli Roth of “Hostel”.

There is a lawless and perverted serial killer, and the corpse is transformed into a turkey.

A cheerleader girl jumped on the trampoline while undressing, and then a knife suddenly stabbed out of the trampoline when she was in the air, which is really impressive.

“Planet Terror” is a zombie film directed by Robert Rodriguez. It describes a rural Texas where a deadly biochemical agent is administered, causing people to become infected and become zombies.

This film makes full use of the make-up special effects of physical mutation, making the zombies look very menacing, like the kind of oversized disgusting pustules and festering wounds.

Plasma was also scattered all over the sky, hands and feet were broken, and the whole person was blown up and headshot was shown without mercy.

The most eye-catching part of the film is the dancer played by Rose McGowan, who had her right foot amputated in an accident, and the actor installed a machine gun on her amputated limb, creating a rare phenomenon in other films. creative scene.

In addition to the horror elements, action scenes are also full of them. There are many cool close-quarters combat, martial arts-like gunfights, blasting, chases, etc. The use of helicopter propellers to sweep zombies is really wild.

“Death Proof” is directed by Quentin, still full of his own style, using a lot of continuous dialogue and literary drama.

He made the female characters chat and show off constantly, and then smashed them to pieces in a violent car accident.

Kurt Russell plays a stuntman who is good at driving. He has psychopathic tendencies. He is always looking for female partners in bars. After chatting with them, he drives a fast car to create a car accident with the object, and seeks the thrill of excitement.

In the end, of course, let Kurt Russell hit the nail and meet a woman who is not easy to mess with.

A chasing scene used repeated and multi-angle shooting techniques to let our audience see the tragic situation of each character clearly.

It’s like the feet were torn off due to the rapid collision, the high-speed tires smashed people’s heads, and the scene of blood and blood was really addicting.

These two films and a series of fake trailers may make the audience swear and say exaggerated words while watching!

It really is this kind of weird movie that deliberately shows the creator’s personal taste through the film.

The film is very bold, combining westerns, thrillers, horror, action, and kung fu stunts. Although it is a strange film, it is also very easy to get started. It is relatively mainstream and makes people feel rich.

There are also many famous actors and actresses in the film, such as Bruce Willis, Rosario Dawson, etc. Friends who like heavy tastes are recommended to watch!
