Today I recommend a niche thriller movie “No Exit”, but I think it is an extraordinary reversal suspense movie!
The beginning of the story takes place in a drug rehab center. Darby Thorne has to choose to lock herself up in order to escape the harassment of the drug cartel, and this is her seventh time in!
When everything was going according to the schedule, Darby Thorne suddenly received a call. It turned out that her mother was critically ill and urgently needed major surgery today.
But tragically, the drug rehab center refused Darby Thorne to leave! In order to be able to see her mother one last time, she had to escape in the middle of the night.
The blizzard was surging along the way. Darby Thorne hurriedly sent a text message to his sister to tell her about her itinerary. Unexpectedly, her sister refused indifferently: “Mother doesn’t want you to come, you will only cause trouble.”
At this time, Darby Thorne was in great pain. Looking at the strong wind and blizzard outside the car window, she sat silently in the car in a daze, and the “medicine” in her pocket became her only relief.
Darby Thorne fell into a state of confusion as the drug took effect. Suddenly the car window was clasped with a palm, Darby Thorne looked around in horror, it turned out that two patrolling policemen just happened to see the car parked on the side of the road.

The black soldier appears to have spotted several people acting out of the ordinary, and his wife tentatively asked Darby Thorne if anything was going on, but found nothing.
At this time, the little girl in the car suddenly escaped. Darby Thorne saw it and followed the two kidnappers and ran out, leaving the black soldier and his wife with inexplicable faces.
Darby Thorne tried to escape under the cover of the night, but was not expected to be shot by the kidnappers.
At this time, the black soldier heard the sound and quickly ran out of the rest station to check the situation, but unexpectedly found the little girl unconscious in the snow.
Darby Thorne then fled back to the rest station and told everything to the black soldier and his wife, and the confrontation began.
The black soldiers lied to each other that they had weapons, and the kidnappers demanded that they release the girl or kill everyone.
Just when the stalemate was stalemate, the little girl slowly woke up, and her first words were to call out to the black wife: “Mrs. Lowery?”
It turned out that the wife of the black soldier was the maid of the little girl’s house. The little girl was not very friendly to her on weekdays. It just so happened that the maid lost all her family property and had no choice but to kidnap her.
Darby Thorne and the black soldiers were dumbfounded when they learned the truth. With a cry of “they don’t have guns at all”, the two robbers rushed into the rest stop.

In order to prevent Darby Thorne from escaping, the kidnapper fixed Darby Thorne’s hand on the wooden board with a nail gun, and the young robber went to the snow to find Darby Thorne’s buried car key, leaving the neurotic robber to guard the little girl.
Darby Thorne used the weak psychology of the neurotic robber to successfully grab the weapon and kill the opponent. Just as the two of them were about to flee by car, the young robber suddenly appeared.
He hit the tire with the nail gun causing the Darby Thorne car to slam into the tree, just as the sound of a police car was heard in the distance.
The young robber pretended that there was an accident at the scene and wanted to sneak up on the police. Darby Thorne endured severe pain and climbed out of the car to hit the robber in advance.
But the police in the unknown place thought Darby Thorne was the bad guy and shot her decisively in the stomach.
The young robber took the opportunity to grab Darby Thorne’s weapon and shot the police to end the fight! The defenseless Darby Thorne lay in the snow, waiting for the last bullet to be given to her by the young robber.
The winning robber leaned in to Darby Thorne and said, “How do you want to die?”
Unexpectedly, Darby Thorne was already prepared, and secretly stabbed the opponent’s throat with a screwdriver. As the old saying goes, “Bad people die by talking too much”.
At the end of the film, Darby Thorne returns to rehab again, as if nothing had happened, except for a little girl’s shadow in a cartoon on the wall.
And Darby Thorne’s sister makes a surprise visit, and the two face each other with a faint but deep smile that seems to suggest a easing of the relationship or something more.
The plot of “No Exit” is extremely tight, and it can even be said to be tense to the point of suffocation, but throughout the whole film it seems that there are some subtle hidden relationships that can be discovered.
For example, at the beginning, Darby Thorne was briefly in a coma due to the effects of drugs in the car, why did he wake up again in a short time?
Another example is that Darby Thorne was shot in the abdomen at the end, and at the end Darby Thorne explained that she was on the 48th day of detoxification, which means that her body was completely healed in just over a month, and her mental state and actions were the same as normal people.
That’s why I would make a bold guess that “No Exit” should be a very reversal thriller and suspense drama.
It’s quite possible that all of the thriller in this movie is just a hallucination of Darby Thorne, which is why she appears in rehab in an instant, intact.
