80-year-old Harrison Ford, sturdy life is still going on!

The undying “Indiana Jones” is 80 years old! A tough guy, the embodiment of heroism Harrison Ford, is still active on the screen, showing a different handsome and cool image.

Or in childhood, a sleepless night, turn on the TV, see a skilled warrior galloping in the mysterious primeval forest, avoiding the many organs, defeating a group of eccentric cultists, but also incidentally rescued a beautiful ……

I was so impressed that I wanted a life like that!

I later learned that the film is ‘Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom’, the adventurer is the famous Indiana Jones, played by him, it is Hollywood superstar – Harrison Ford.

Born in 1942 during the war, Harrison Ford was an active member of the Boy Scouts as a teenager, which fits with Indiana Jones’ teenage experience.

But the difference is that Ford used to be a shy young man. In the second half of his senior year, he decided to try drama acting classes in order to overcome his shyness, and from then on, his life and acting were tied together, starting the road to superstardom.

After failing to graduate from college, he chose to move from his hometown of Belfry to the big city of Los Angeles to make a living. At first he tried to find a job in radio, but failed repeatedly.

Soon, Columbia Pictures saw the talent in this young man, and Ford became a young actor in Columbia’s new talent development program, and was soon given a chance on the big screen.

I’m afraid not many people remember the 1966 crime comedy ‘Dead Heat on a Merry-Go-Round’, but Harrison Ford certainly does, as it was the first film he appeared in.

Ford played the role of a waiter in the film. Harrison Ford, who was young at the time, surely did not anticipate that this would be his first step to Hollywood stardom.

Harrison Ford’s early films were signed Harrison-J-Ford to distinguish him from another silent film star of the same name.

Ford was unaware of the old Ford’s existence and wondered why his name was inscribed on Walk Of Fame. But decades later, he really left the Harrison Ford representing him there.

Throughout the 60s, Harrison Ford in Hollywood is not hot, he did not even have enough salary to support the family, had to work as a carpenter while making films to support his wife and two young children.

Notably, during his time as a carpenter he had the honor of being the stage manager for the famous rock band The Doors.

Talented people always need to be appreciated, and the person who appreciates Ford is the famous producer Fred Roos.

As Francis Ford Coppola’s good friend + producer, he did not recommend Ford to Coppola at first, but to another “Hollywood kid” George Lucas, which gave him the opportunity to act in ‘American Graffiti’.

At this time Harrison Ford was still not famous and had to continue working as a carpenter in his spare time.

Coincidentally, Coppola was at the top of his game with the ‘The Godfather’ series, and as a successful man, he wanted to reorganize his office, and it was the carpenter Harrison Ford who was in charge of the job.

In addition, Coppola also cast him in two small roles in ‘The Conversation’ and ‘Apocalypse Now’.

“Star Wars” and “Indiana Jones” two series to conquer the audience

The role that really made Harrison Ford’s transit is undoubtedly Han Solo in ‘Star Wars’!

But at first not many people thought much of the series, Coppola also mocked Lucas’s fun. But then the story happened, we all know.

“Star Wars” became one of the most profitable film series of all time, even rewriting American pop culture. Harrison Ford, the lead actor, naturally became famous and no longer had to deal with wooden blocks!

Even if only in this one film series, Harrison Ford is also enough to leave the film history, but he has another more personal role to make fans around the world crazy, yes, is the ‘Indiana Jones’ series of Indiana Jones.

The series originated from Steven Spielberg’s fantasy when he was young, and Indiana Jones was the object of his fantasy.

When shooting this series of films, Harrison Ford showed a more mature acting skills and dedication, the shooting process is very playful, many injuries and also contracted dysentery, Spielberg had to reduce the action scenes.

So, in the scene where Jones faces the swordsman, he takes out his opponent with a single shot, making this scene one of the funniest action scenes of all time.

Indiana Jones’ a series of four, Disney announced in 2010 to make a fifth, due to various reasons plus the impact of the epidemic, the film schedule from the initial 2020 through several adjustments, and now postponed to June 30, 2023.

In “Indiana Jones 5” Harrison Ford will also continue to play Indiana Jones, when he is 81 years old, truly a role from the prime of life to old age!

In addition to these two classic film series, Harrison Ford’s most successful role on the big screen is probably that of Rick Deckard, the killer in ‘Blade Runner’.

In this anti-Utopia sci-fi film, killer Rick Deckard strolls through a futuristic city with the smell of death, and while hunting for replicants, he begins to think about the meaning of machines and his own existence.

Harrison Ford hard with a bit of elegance in the temperament, and the male lead perfect fit, the film has naturally become a generation of science fiction classics.

Harrison Ford has starred in a series of hugely successful commercial genre films, which have made him one of the highest grossing male stars in film history.

In the second half of the 1980s he gradually transitioned to working with some art film directors, which left behind some films that can be called classics.

For example, the quiet surface contains the bloody ‘Witness’, and with Dymny Roman Dymny Polanski base Hitchcock-style film ‘Frantic’. The former also led to Harrison Ford’s only Oscar nomination in his acting career to date.

In the 90’s, Harrison Ford returned to action films, starring in ‘The Fugitive’ with Tommy Lee Jones.

In recent years, Harrison Ford has remained active on the silver screen. Like the ‘Indiana Jones’ series, ‘Blade Runner’ launched its sequel ‘Blade Runner 2049’ in 2017, with an older Rick Deckard meeting audiences again in the future metropolis and Ryan Gosling playing a new generation of Blade Runner with Harrison Ford in the film to complete the succession.

Last year, years of preparation for the ‘Indiana Jones 5’ finally started shooting, 79-year-old Harrison Ford returned to the lead role, unexpectedly injured in a rehearsal fight scenes, but no major injuries.

This is not the first time Ford has been injured. Back in 2014, 71-year-old Ford returned to the ‘Star Wars’ series after 30 years, and was knocked down by a falling prop Millennium Falcon hydraulic hatch while filming ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’, resulting in a hand injury, dislocated ankle, and fractured tibia and fibula.

That serious accident led to a two-week hiatus, and Ford himself returned to the set after two months of recuperation.

In recent years, Ford is getting older, but he is still personally involved in the shooting of the film. 2008 ‘Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull’ shooting, 65-year-old Ford insisted on completing the film’s stunt sequences, without a double.

In addition to the “Star Wars” “Indiana Jones” series of screen sequels, Harrison Ford will also bring a drama series this year, starring with Helen Mirren in the ‘ Yellowstone’ prequel series “1923” will be online in December this year.

In addition, Ford also joined a drama series ‘Shrinking’ created by Apple.

At the age of 80, Harrison Ford is still active on the screen to bring us new works.

“He was always a square, cunning and duplicity had nothing to do with him.”‘ The Guardian’ once said of him, “It’s his mortal qualities that make him that fascinating.”

In most of Harrison Ford’s films, he is the perfect embodiment of American individual heroism and is one of Hollywood’s best-selling actors.

Today, it is the 80th birthday of this Hollywood god, the immortal “Indiana Jones” although already full of silver hair, but in Hollywood for more than 50 years, he is still on the screen to continue to write their own legends.
