Recently, according to Variety, actor Jonathan Majors, who played the villain Kang the Conqueror in the Marvel movie ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’, revealed in an interview that he had left a Marvel meeting for the first time because the executives at the meeting were busy with other things. Majors then thought his Marvel career might be over before it even started.
Jonathan Majors said, “It happened a long time ago, when I had just come out of drama school. I walked into the Comic-Con office and sat there for a long time waiting, and they were all very busy and I didn’t want to waste anyone’s time. I was like ‘should I be here’ and then I just walked out.”
Although Majors left the venue, he was retrieved before leaving the building and Marvel casting director Sarah Finn had a pleasant conversation with him.
Majors revealed that in the third year after that, he and Marvel negotiated the role of Kang the Conqueror, he was very satisfied with Marvel for the role and the layout of future planning.
Jonathan Majors’ film ‘The Last Black Man in San Francisco’ impressed Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, which was a big reason why Marvel approached him.
Kevin Feige said, “Majors did very well during the early test auditions for ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ and shone.”
