There are only two episodes left in the final season of ‘Better Call Saul’, and in the latest episode 11, Walter White and Jesse Pinkman from ‘Breaking Bad’ reappeared to recreate the episode where the two kidnapped Saul, and many viewers were interested in how the show recreated the iconic drug-making RV.
In a recent interview with Variety, ‘Better Call Saul’ set designer Ashley Marsh explained how they restored the RV set, stating that the original RV was placed on Sony’s grounds and its interior had been completely hollowed out.
To recreate its interior scenes, Marsh carefully re-watched ‘Breaking Bad’ and took 8,000 screenshots. The items in the photos were then carefully studied and reacquired.
During the filming of ‘Breaking Bad’, the crew used two RVs, one a fully functional RV for exterior and driving shots, and the other for interior shots.
Marsh found the same model of RV that was used to shoot the exterior scenes, a 1986 Bounder, in addition to restoring the seats, lights, mini-fridge, and curtains.
As for the final two episodes, Saul actor Bob Odenkirk teased that the ‘Breaking Bad’ duo will appear in more scenes before the show ends, and episode 12 will go live next Tuesday promptly, titled Waterworks, so stay tuned.
