When Namor made his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’, there were a lot of comparisons between him and Aquaman, and recently, Namor’s character Tenoch Huerta talked about it in an interview.
“I’m honored to be compared to Jason Momoa (who plays Aquaman), he’s a great actor, a Hollywood movie star, oh my God! They’re talking about me and Jason! I’m so happy,”
Tenoch Huerta told the press. “But about the characters, I think they’re completely different. It’s like trying to compare Shazam and Superman, they have different background settings.”
When pressed further on whether Namor could beat Aquaman in a fight, Huerta smiled and replied, “Yes.”
Despite his numerous pencils in Marvel Comics, Namor never really appeared in a live-action movie until ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’, partly because his film rights were held by Universal Pictures.
As Marvel producers recently revealed, while Namor “could return,” no Namor solo movie can be made yet.
