The Marilyn Monroe biopic ‘Blonde’ will be available on Netflix on Sept. 28. The film is rated NC-17 for excessive scale and is not to be viewed by anyone under the age of 18. The actress who plays Monroe, Ana de Armas, will portray the legendary movie queen’s tumultuous and lascivious private life. And she is prepared for the fact that her nude photos will be circulated around the world.
In a recent interview with Variety, Ana de Armas said she was well aware that the moment the film hit the shelves, her nude performance in ‘Blonde’ would be screenshotted and circulated like wildfire.
Ana says, “I knew my nude footage would go viral, and it was disgusting. Just the thought of it is upsetting, and I can’t control it. You can’t control what people do and how they use nude photos to take things out of context. I don’t think I have room to reconsider, but it sucks to think about how those clips will be used in the future.”
But Ana wasn’t afraid, as ‘Blonde’ received accolades at several auditions. At the Venice International Film Festival, it received a 14-minute standing ovation.
Ana says she did what she never would have done for anyone in ‘Blonde’, and it was all for director Andrew Dominik (Andrew Dominik) and as a tribute to Monroe himself.
