Can “Venom 2” become Sony’s trump card in creating the “Spider Universe”!

Venom is a very classic anti-hero character in American Marvel comics.

Since its debut in the 299th issue of The Amazing Spider-Man, Venom has been loved by many readers with its unique symbiosis setting and muscular violent aesthetic image.

Since then, Venom has appeared as an important villain in Spider-Man’s works in almost all subsequent Spider-Man works.

The degree of its popularity has even equated with Spider-Man, who is Marvel’s pro-son. You can imagine its popularity.

And Sony Columbia Pictures, which holds the film and television copyrights of Marvel’s Spider-Man works, naturally did not give up this cake.

After renting the copyright of Spider-Man to Marvel Pictures for three years, Sony also launched a new single hero movie.

And their eyes were on the highly popular anti-hero character Venom. Thus, “Venom” came into being.

Looking back at our “Venom”, we can see that Sony has transformed Venom from a violent and brutal villain into a protagonist image suitable for all ages.

Significant changes have been made in the plot and character settings, and the venom has changed from an evil symbiote to a tsundere and cute with cold outside and hot inside.

And Eddie has also changed from an evil and cunning scumbag to a good reporter in the movie who dares to fight against the powerful.

Such big changes made many Venom fans worry about the quality of the film before the release.

However, “Venom” still surprises fans with its excellent qualities.

As a standard Hollywood movie, the splendid fighting scenes make people feel hearty.

Especially the last hormonal fight between Venom and Riot was very addictive.

And the plot is also remarkable.

This work takes Eddie Brock as the perspective, showing his transition from depravity and reintegration to becoming a hero in the play in a nuanced manner before the eyes of the audience.

As a plot-driven movie, the image of Eddie has been portrayed so deeply in such a limited creative space, and I have to sigh for the profound skill of our director and screenwriter team.

In addition to Eddie, the depiction of Venom adds a lot of points to the plot.

It was supposed to be Riot’s venom, but because he felt Eddie’s traits are very close to him, he chose to betray Riot and fight with Eddie Brock.

This also allowed the new image of Venom to build a good fan base and successfully completed the transformation of the new image of Venom, paving the way for future new works.

With such a good foundation, “Venom: Let There Be Carnage” also released a new trailer not long ago.

A brand new highly popular villain-Carnage finally meets the audience on the screen of the new era.

Compared with the venom that has appeared in Spider-Man 3 before, the carnage that has never appeared on the screen is undoubtedly a major highlight of “Venom: Let There Be Carnage”.

This powerful and crazy Carnage is a ruthless character in the comics that Venom and Spider-Man can’t deal with together.

As the villain of the new work this time, I really sweated for our venom cutie!

It is worth mentioning that in the new trailer released by “Venom: Let There Be Carnage”, we were pleasantly surprised to find a lot of metaphors related to spiders.

This is reminiscent of Sony’s “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” recently launched.

In the latest news, there is even more news that Holland, who plays the role of Spider-Man, has also appeared on the set of Venom 2.

So will Sony use the upcoming “Venom: Let There Be Carnage” to expand its spider universe?

Let us wait and see!
