On the evening of June 3, local time, former Disney executives believe that Johnny Depp may be invited to reprise his iconic role as Captain Jack Sparrow in “Pirates of the Caribbean”. Because fans are “very eager” to see this happen.
A former Disney executive told People magazine he thinks Depp, 58, might reprise his role as the rogue pirate because everyone involved has the potential to get a huge payout.
“I absolutely believe that after the verdict, the Pirates are ready for a reboot with Johnny Depp as Captain Jack back on screen,” he said, for a character deeply rooted in Disney culture and beloved. The potential box office revenue is simply too much.

The former Disney executive also predicted when it will launch, saying that after the huge success of Paramount Pictures’ “Top Gun: Maverick”, Disney may relaunch its beloved “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise.
“There’s a huge demand right now for a Hollywood star with a box office to star in a hugely popular franchise,” he told People magazine.
While the former Disney exec is confident that Disney might bring the series back, he’s not too sure Johnny Depp would be open to it.
In Johnny Depp’s defamation case against ex-wife Amber Heard, 36, Depp told a jury he would no longer work with Disney after he was excluded from the sixth installment of the movie “Pirates of the Caribbean.”
Depp also had to step down from the role of Grindelwald in the “Harry Potter” series because of the defamation case.
Depp’s legal team had claimed that after Heard published her “Washington Post” column in 2018, it did not identify Depp but apparently labelled him “wife beating.” Depp lost $22 million in compensation as a result.
Depp also said that in front of Disney executives, he felt guilty until proven innocent, and he felt Disney executives were making a “presumption of guilt.”
After interviewing former Disney executives, “People” magazine also got to know a number of insiders who worked on the “Pirates of the Caribbean” crew, all of whom expressed confidence that Depp would not be swayed by the unpleasant events that happened before ( Refers to Disney’s removal of him in the sixth “Pirates of the Caribbean” and Depp’s statement that he would no longer work with Disney) to give up or reject the role of Captain Jack, not to mention “Pirates of the Caribbean” is a multi-billion dollar series of movies.
Super-producer Jerry Bruckheimer told “The Sunday Times” in May that the producers were “working on two pirate scripts that don’t involve Depp.”
Bruckheimer said Depp is not currently in the role of Jack Sparrow, but “the future is yet to be decided.”
According to People magazine, actress Margot Robbie, 31, is considering a lead role in the series.
A seventh film is likely to hit theaters in 2025, and they believe the producers will “cast Robbie and possibly a cameo from Depp as a test.”
Whether or not Depp’s Captain Jack reappears on the big screen, Depp’s fans are very loyal.
While he’s not perfect, his fans are happy to go to theaters to support Depp’s films.
Depp hasn’t starred in any major movies since 2018, but a movie page search found Depp on the cast of “Bettlejuice 2” alongside Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder, and the movie’s IMDB page was recently updated Synopsis and 2025 release date.
