Today, according to media sources, Nolan ‘Batman’ trilogy star Christian Bale said in an interview with the ‘Washington Post’ that he was ridiculed after he said he wanted to play a more serious Batman based on the previous version of ‘Batman’.
“I said very seriously at the time that I was going to play a more serious Batman than the previous film, and a lot of people laughed at me and said, ‘That’s not going to work,’ but the trilogy was very successful. And I think that maybe that success is what got me into the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe).”
Christian Bale starred in the Christopher Nolan-directed ‘Batman Begins’ in 2005, for which he won the 32nd Saturn Award for Best Actor; in 2008, he co-starred with Heath Ledger and others in ‘The Dark Knight’, and in 2012 in ‘The Dark Knight Rises’, the trilogy of the series has grossed $2.4 billion at the global box office.
And Bale said in a previous interview, if the director Nolan want to continue to shoot, he is ready to return to play Batman.
