According to media reports, Chris Evans is ready to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but his role may not be what you expect.
Recently, he was asked if he would continue to play Human TorchJonathan Storm, a role he last played in 2007’s ‘Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer’.
He replied, “Gee, wouldn’t that be great? Wouldn’t that be great? No, no one ever comes to me. I mean, I’m not like I used to be. That was 15 years ago, almost 20 years ago. God, I’m getting old. But I really like the role ……”
Chris Evans explained that returning to the role was probably “easier for him to convince” than playing Captain America again.
Chris Evans played Steve Rogers in ‘Avengers: Endgame’, who ended up as an aging Captain America.
Evans hasn’t said he won’t return to Captain America, but he has previously said it would be a “daunting task” to bring him back. Marvel’s new ‘Fantastic Four’ movie is also in production.
