“Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”: The character’s journey of self discovery

“Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” continues a Marvel movie trend of focusing on two heroes in individual films.

For example, “Captain America: Civil War” has Steve and Stark two heavy roles, and so do Thor and Banner in “Thor: Ragnarok”.

To “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”, that is, Stephen and Wanda, two masters of magic, to be in the same frame.

During the official press conference for “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” Elizabeth Olsen talked about what makes Wanda a more interesting character than a traditional hero.

“I don’t think it’s the most fun to always play the heroes of the story who can’t go wrong. I don’t think that’s interesting.”

“I think the reason I liked Wanda so much in the first place is that she’s very clear about her beliefs. They just don’t align themselves with other people, that’s fine. She’ll have her own sense, and when she’s wrong, she’ll admit it .”

Another star, Benedict Cumberbatch, said that in the process of understanding himself, Doctor Strange is actually fighting against different versions of himself.

“Strange has seen through his experiences in the multiverse, and the different versions of him in the multiverse, what the pattern of behavior that he pursues is like.”

“It’s a seal, the identity of Doctor Strange in any universe and the danger of the character.”

Obviously, “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” is a journey of self-discovery for these two characters.

“Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” is set to hit theaters in Northern America on May 6.
