“Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” has undergone numerous remakes, and for many fans of Marvel, the remakes are worrisome.
According to Benedict Cumberbatch, the film’s star, the ending of the upcoming “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” changed during filming.
As we all know, Marvel President Kevin Feige and his writing team planned the character’s arc in stages in advance, and the current plan for the Marvel Universe runs until 2032.
However, due to some unforeseen circumstances, such as the death of the actor, plans had to change quickly, leading to rewrites and reshoots.
This makes one wonder, what happened to “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”, so that Marvel even rewrote the ending?
In an interview with Comic Book, Benny talked about the upcoming “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”.
In the first few days of filming, the ending wasn’t fixed at all.
In this regard, he said: “There is a lot to test, explain and absorb. But there is a driving force at the end, like the last third. It is an open question when we start shooting in typical Marvel fashion. … it’s really spectacular.”
Bruce Campbell, who will be making a cameo in his longtime friend Sam Raimi’s upcoming film “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”, explained that “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” has undergone extensive reshoots because of the Marvel work Room is constantly tweaking its main storyline at all times.

Of course, considering that the Marvel Universe is related to other movies and even TV series, very slight changes may have a butterfly effect. Anyway, the remake of “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” continues after “Spider-Man 3” ended.
Given the connection between the two films, many fans believe that some remakes of “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” are meant to cater to the plot of “Spider-Man 3.”
Of course, according to Benny, the ending of the movie is a driving force, so both Marvel and everyone involved in the movie are very concerned about the ending.
In addition, the future of the Marvel Universe will explore more things related to the multiverse, and “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” can be said to be one of the most iconic movies of this stage.
Not only does the movie introduce new characters, it also sets the storyline for years to come.
Overall, “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”, like “Spider-Man 3,” adds characters from the Marvel Multiverse.
Especially Patrick Stewart as Professor X and Hayley Atwell as Captain Carter.
It is said that these two characters were not in the script of “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” from the beginning, but were added by the later writers.
Considering that the production process of the Marvel Universe is always changing, it is understandable that the ending was not immediately determined during the production. I believe it’s this uncertainty that keeps Marvel’s films under wraps.
