After “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire”, Hermione’s actor Emma Watson considered leaving the series.
She has talked about this before, and in HBO Max’s “Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts”, Watson and the rest of her shared more details.
David Yates, director of “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,” said that when he was hired to direct the fourth film, he was told that Watson was not sure if she wanted to appear in another Harry Potter film.
Tom Felton, who plays Malfoy, said that people did not fully understand how much Watson went through at the time: “People will forget what she did and how elegant she did. (Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint) They motivated each other. I have me Friends. And Emma is not only young, but also alone.”

Emma Watson himself said in the special program: “I can see that sometimes I am lonely.”
Radcliffe, who plays Harry Potter, also talked about this. He said he, Watson, or Grint didn’t talk about these issues when making the movie, just because they were too young at the time.
Radcliffe said: “We never talked about this in the movie because we were all just kids. As a 14-year-old boy, I would never turn around and say to another 14-year-old,’Hey, how are you? everything fine? ‘”
In a conversation with Grit during the special show, Emma Watson said that she had reached a “critical point,” which made her pause.

Grint admits that he has felt this way throughout the film series.
But in the end, Emma Watson came back to star in the later Harry Potter movies, thanks in part to the support of her fans and the other two leading actors.
“No one has to persuade me to see it through.” They said, “The fans really want you to succeed, and we all really support each other. This is great.”
“Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts” is now playing on HBO Max.
