In a ‘Vanity Fair’ interview, Margot Robbie revealed that a new movie in the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ series, which she was scheduled to star in, has been cancelled: “We had an idea that was in development for a while, a couple of years ago, that was more on the female lead, not exactly a female lead only, but A different story. We thought it would be pretty cool, but I don’t think they (Disney) wanted to do it.”
The project was revealed two years ago when the message was that Robbie was starring and Christina Hodson (‘Birds of Prey’) was writing the script for a new standalone story belonging to the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ series and featuring a female protagonist.
