According to media reports, ‘Harry Potter’ author J. K. Rowling received a death threat comment from an extremist after commenting on the attack on author Salman Rushdie in New York: “Don’t worry, you’re next.”
Rowling then reported him, but Twitter officials said the user had not broken the rules. She was very unhappy about this and said the police had stepped in to investigate.
Warner also issued a statement in response to the incident, saying it strongly condemns the threats and will stand with Rowling.
“We believe in free speech, peaceful discourse and support those who express their views in the public arena.”
