Jail and fine! Toei hits hard at stolen photographer of ‘Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero’

Recently, TOEI ANIMATION CO., LTD. announced that it will take legal action against people who privately steal and upload the movie ‘Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero’, for those who are curious.

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero’ is one of the most involved works of the original author Akira Toriyama, who will personally participate in leading the screenplay, supervising the production including the story, character settings and details of the lines and so on.

According to media reports, ‘Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero’ was released only ten days ago and about 3,000 pirated videos were uploaded to the Internet.

That number is ten times higher than the illegal uploads of ‘Dragon Ball Super: Broly’, and if TOEI ANIMATION CO., LTD. does not take enforcement action now, things will only escalate further.

TOEI ANIMATION CO., LTD. has the right to request the court to sentence each offender to a fine of 10 million yen or 10 years of imprisonment or both under the copyright law.
