Recently, “Pirates of the Caribbean” series producer Jerry Bruckheimer revealed in an interview with “The Times” that there are currently two “Pirates of the Caribbean” series films in development. When talking about whether the male protagonist may be Johnny Depp, who has recently been in the air of public opinion, the producer said: “It may not be at present, but the future is uncertain.”
Johnny Depp has been synonymous with the “Pirates of the Caribbean” series, and he starred in all five of his previous works to critical acclaim.
But the planned movies this time are a female version of “Pirates of the Caribbean” starring “Harleen Quinzel” Margot Robbie and a reboot of the “Pirates of the Caribbean” series.
According to the producers, both films are in development and are in communication with Margot Robbie. As for casting, there are no plans to be Johnny Depp at the moment, but that’s all uncertain, who knows for sure in the future.
Interestingly, Johnny Depp has previously said that Disney would not let him return to the “Pirates of the Caribbean” series with $300 million and 100 alpacas.
However, after 300,000 people petitioned for Depp’s return, I wonder if Disney will come up with the 101st alpaca.
