Two months after Johnny Depp won his defamation case against Amber Heard, a portion of Depp’s fans spent $3,300 to view some court documents that have not been made public, according to ‘Rolling Stone’ magazine, a movie watcher citing the media.
However, the facts show that this move seems to have backfired on Depp’s appeal.
During the trial some time ago, Depp’s powerful legal team used legal tactics to stop some explosive charges and suspicions.
And legal sources say the unpublished documents “look worse for Depp overall.
The document contains more than 6,600 pages, with some of the details related to Marilyn Manson being omitted.
Depp is alleged to have used drugs with Manson, and Amber’s team has tried to introduce more text messages between the two, while Depp’s team wants to leave Manson out of the case, claiming that Amber is trying to “smear Mr. Depp with a theory of guilt by association.
In addition to this, court documents relate to Depp’s ex-girlfriend Ellen Barkin, who told the court about Depp’s alleged drug use back in the late 1990s.
The documents also mention that Depp’s team had highlighted Amber’s past as a stripper. And Amber’s team has tried to mention Depp’s drug problems.
According to attorneys contacted by ‘Rolling Stone,’ they agree that the fight between Depp and Amber will continue. Both have also notified the court that they plan to appeal their respective verdicts.
In the process, Amber is likely to use some of the pretrial discovery that did not previously go to trial as part of the basis for her appeal.
