Marvel previously officially announced two new ‘The Avengers’ films: subtitled ‘The Kang Dynasty’ and ‘Secret Wars’ respectively. Avengers: The Kang Dynasty’ has been scheduled for Northern America release on May 2, 2025, from the title can also be seen that the film’s villain will be “Kang the Conqueror”.
“Kang the Conqueror” has previously appeared in ‘Loki’, but he was not mentioned by name, only referred to as “He who Remains”. He is also one of the villains of ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’, and will continue to be played by Jonathan Majors.
Recently, Jonathan Majors revealed in an interview the secret of how to play different versions of Kang the Conqueror in ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ and other Marvel movies.
“I would say I grew up in Texas and was good at sports. When you play point guard or quarterback, a good quarterback or point guard, they have amnesia,” Jonathan Majors told reporters about how he approaches the role differently.
“They don’t remember the good plays, they don’t remember the bad plays, they just remember that they’re going to play the game. So that’s how I approach the role, I just play the script and tell the story, that’s how I do it.”
Although Jonathan Majors has only confirmed two variants of Kang the Conqueror so far (‘Loki’ and ‘Ant-Man’ versions).
“I think the story about Kang, even as a comic, is that he contains multiple sides,” he says.” For me, it was a great exploration of myself, just to see how much of myself I could explore and share, and that’s what playing a series of Kang gave me the opportunity to do”
