At a press conference for ‘The Gray Man,’ Ryan Gosling said rumors that he had been offered the role of the MCU’s “Nova” were false – even though he would love to play Ghost Rider.
In response, Marvel boss Kevin Feige said at the recent San Diego Comic-Con: “Would love to find a place for Gosling in the MCU”.
“Ryan is awesome.” Feige told MTV News after learning of Gosling’s idea, “Hey man, if Ryan wants to be Ghost Rider …… I’d love to find a spot for him in the MCU.”
Notably, Nova’s film does not appear on the list of Marvel Phase 5 and 6 films – nor does Ghost Rider.
But, Kevin Feige added that in the next phase, the MCU will be open to include these characters. “You talk about Ghost Rider, we have Blade, we have Doctor Strange, we have the supernatural angle.”
In a separate interview with MTV News, Gosling was asked if he had turned down multiple hero roles in comic book movies. “Never mind.”
Gosling says, “I don’t fit into it. But I’m happy to do it.”
More information about Marvel’s Phase 5 and Phase 6 is still being released. Previously, “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” will conclude Phase 4, while Phase 6 will kick off in the ‘Fantastic Four’ movie on November 8, 2024.
There are also two new The Avengers movies that will enter Phase 6 at the end of 2025. According to what Marvel has announced so far, Phase 6 will last about a year.
