Mark Ruffalo has made some not-so-friendly comments about Disney’s ‘Star Wars’ franchise in the recent past.
Its in an interview was asked if there are already too many Marvel movies now. And Mark Ruffalo said that every Marvel movie has its own style.
“What Marvel does best is that within the MCU, they let the director or actor create each production according to their own style, and Marvel just gives them the material.”
Mark Ruffalo then also compared the MCU universe to the Star Wars universe: “If you’ve seen ‘Star Wars,’ you’ll see that you get the same ‘Star Wars’ almost every time. It may have a little humor, a few different images, but you always have the same feeling. But Marvel is different, even in the same universe, you can have a completely different feeling.”
Even in terms of sheer numbers, Marvel and Star Wars are not a thing that can be compared. Marvel has currently announced about 30 unlaunched projects, while ‘Star Wars’ is about 15.
And on a more observable note, the MCU has been successful for quite some time, while ‘Star Wars’ is still adjusting their strategy after the mixed reviews of the sequel trilogy.
