According to media reports, Anthony Rapp’s $40 million sexual misconduct lawsuit against Kevin Spacey (‘House of Cards’ ‘American Beauty’) has been officially adjudicated. After eight days of providing testimony, the jury deliberated for only one hour before ruling that the lawsuit was not valid and Spacey was not liable for any damages.
As the verdict was read, Spacey, wearing a mask, bowed his head and appeared to be wiping tears from his eyes. After a few moments he stood up and turned to hug his lawyer.
In the face of losing the trial of the lawsuit against Kevin Spacey for sexual misconduct, Anthony Rapp, the initiator of the lawsuit, issued a statement saying, “This lawsuit was brought to shine a light as part of a massive campaign against all forms of sexual violence. “
