“Morbius”: The director learned the big secret of “Avengers: Endgame‎” during filming!

“Mobius” director Daniel Espinosa revealed in a recent interview with Digital Spy that “Avengers: Endgame‎” hadn’t been released when “Mobius” began filming, and that he was told of a number of small events, including “Tony Stark Sacrifice.” secret”, he had to keep it secret:

“When we started filming, ‘Avengers: Endgame‎’ hadn’t come out yet. I learned a lot of little secrets. I remember someone whispering to me that Tony Stark was going to die. Those were the secrets I had to keep.”

Espinosa then revealed:

“You have to know that some things will be affected, but they allow me to develop my own ideas and style.”

Espinosa also discussed his character’s connection to the MCU:

“Mobius was supposed to be a very unique character, an outsider. I wanted to have the opportunity to create my own New York and keep a little bit of my vision of what this side of Marvel should be.”

With “Mobius” and “Venom” relatively independent from the MCU, it’s not clear why director Daniel Espinosa needed to know the big secrets of “Avengers: Endgame‎.”

Based on what is currently known, Michael Keaton’s Vulture appears to be the only MCU connection in “Mobius”.

Many fans were speculating about “Mobius”‘s connection to “Spider-Man: No Way Home” and “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” but most of the filming of the movie was around the time of “Avengers: Endgame‎” release. .

At the time, the multiverse was just an unrealized concept, and while the remake may have added some nuanced connections, “Morbius” may have been a little more self-contained.

So far, “Mobius” hasn’t had a good reputation early on, as fans and critics aren’t very optimistic about the film, and the movie may struggle to be a box-office success, which could spell trouble for the character’s future and the Sony Spider-Man universe.
