Movies to look forward to in summer 2022

With the Tom Cruise starrer “Top Gun: Maverick” taking in nearly $300 million in less than two weeks, what awaits American audiences is a roaring 2022 summer.

Whether you’re a big fan of dinosaurs for decades, salivating over the new Pixar animation, wanting to see Chris Hemsworth naked on the big screen (in code), or interested in Brad Pitt killing people on a train, there’s a selection of 10 new Northern America summer movies in this article that will satisfy viewers’ appetites.

“Jurassic World: Dominion” (Universal)

This is the sixth film in the “Jurassic” series, and the conclusion of the new “Jurassic World” trilogy, which takes place four years after “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom”.

“Thor: Love and Thunder”

This time Natalie Portman not only returned to “Thor: Love and Thunder”, but also disguised as “Mighty Thor”, wielded Mjolnir.

Once again, Bell, who was almost unrecognizable to the audience due to his makeup, arrived late to play the villain Gorr the God Butcher.

“The Gray Man” focuses on Court Gentry (Ryan Gosling), a former CIA spy and freelance assassin who accidentally discovers the secrets of a hidden agency and becomes the number one target of a manhunt.

Chris Evans’ one-mustached, morbid ex-colleague launches a global siege against him, while Ana de Armas’ agent lends a helping hand to the hero.

The film went live on Netflix a week after its release.

“Nope” (Universal)

Jordan Peele and Daniel Kaluuya, joined by Northern America’s popular “Glenn” Steven Yeun, are too hot for a summer vacation without a horror movie.

After “Get Out” and “Us”, I wonder what kind of surprise the director is going to give us this time.

Daniel Kaluuya plays a horse trainer who lives in California and discovers some strange and disturbing things, and also witnesses some strange things falling from the sky.

“DC League of Super-Pets” (Warner)

Keanu Reeves voices Batman, while his dog “Ace” is voiced by Kevin Hart, and John Wick lives happily ever after with his dog.

“Bullet Train” (Sony)

Based on a Japanese novel, this film stars Brad Pitt as a killer who is retiring to obtain a mysterious box from a high-speed train.

There are five assassins on the speeding train from Tokyo to Kyoto, and they discover that their respective missions are actually connected.

The question then becomes: who will get off the train alive? And what awaits them at the final destination?

“Bullet Train” is also known as the train version of “Speed”, and “Non-Stop” is also somewhat similar.
