Today, actor Robert Downey Jr. released a new video on his social media, in which he shaved his head for the new show ‘The Sympathizer’ with the help of his two children. The kids later had the bright idea to dress him up as a “pumpkin head”.
In the video, Robert Downey Jr.’s 12-year-old son Exton and 7-year-old daughter Avri are carving pumpkins for Halloween. Robert Downey Jr. said he needed the kids to help shave his head because of the new show ‘The Sympathizer’ and because he didn’t want to wear a bald cap.
After shaving his head, the child came up with an idea to complete their original Halloween pumpkin project, and made up Robert Downey Jr.’s new bald look into a pumpkin head.
‘The Sympathizer’ is directed by Korean director Park Chan-wook (‘Oldeuboi’ ‘The Handmaiden’) and stars Robert Downey Jr.
Based on the novel of the same name by Vietnamese-American novelist Nguyen Thanh Viet, winner of The Pulitzer Prizes, it tells the story of a North Vietnamese spy who lurks in South Vietnam, focusing on his difficult life at the end of the Vietnam War and his post-war exile in the United States.
