Previously, the famous director Martin Scorsese criticized Marvel movies, saying that the things he made could not be regarded as “movies” but “theme parks”, and the director of “The Godfather” also called Marvel movies disgusting.
Recently, Elizabeth Olsen, the actor of Marvel’s “Scarlet Witch”, talked about the criticism of Marvel movies and expressed her unique views in an interview.
“I’m not saying we’re making independent art films, but I think (the criticisms) upset our staff and it annoys me,” she said.
“These are some of the most amazing set designers, costume designers, videographers out there, and I feel like these criticisms are a little light on them, as if the accolades they’ve had for those award-winning films they’ve worked on don’t exist anymore.”
He also added: “As an actor, from my point of view, I can understand that the current work has indeed changed from the original. But I also think that turning away from Marvel like this will make hundreds of very talented people. Staff lost opportunities. That’s where I get a little pissed about it.”
