The second season of Netflix’s much-anticipated “Space Force” has finally been launched. There are only 7 episodes in total, and it feels like I’ve finished watching it all at once.
“Space Force” Season 2 overall looks a little underwhelming compared to the previous season’s much-impressive storyline.
There are no space orangutans eating dogs in this season, and there is no plot of Chinese satellites destroying American satellites. This season is more like a typical “work place comedy” work place comedy.
But also because of this, compared to the first season with those eye-catching plots to attract the audience, this season is a long stream, with a lot of laughter added to the warmth, and overall it feels good.
At the end of the last season, the astronaut team led by Angela met with Chinese astronauts on the moon and destroyed each other’s bases.
At the beginning of this season, Angela and other astronauts have returned to Earth, and they have been tight-lipped about what happened on the moon, feeling that this is an unbearable past.
The entire space force is also under tremendous pressure because of this matter, and the new U.S. government is considering canceling the space force.

With the efforts of General Mark Naird and his team, they were given four months to demonstrate what the Space Force meant.
But at the same time, they faced a situation where the budget was cut in half, and the team was moved.
Mark’s team set out to find ways to save the Space Force, the Space Force’s Mars program.
They received the Chinese Air Force generals and reached an agreement on Sino-US cooperation.
They found various commercial sponsorships to keep the Mars project going for the time being.
Meanwhile, Angela is still struggling to adjust to life back from the moon. She was the first black woman in history to step on the moon and became an American hero.
But she was also one of the few people who knew exactly what was going on on the moon, so she felt overwhelmed by the pressure and wanted to leave the space force.
Dr. Chan, who likes Angela, can’t understand Angela’s hot and cold attitude, and also wonders about the future of the space force.
Mark’s daughter, Erin, is applying for college, but her in-prison mom is divorcing Mark.
The team solved the small troubles, and spent the four-month inspection period safely, but at this time, a big trouble came again.
The first season of “Space Force” began in May 2020. The most important background story that happened in the past two years is that the United States has a new president, which is also a special difference between the two seasons of the show.
In the first season, there were a lot of mockery of the then US President Trump in the plot. Although no name was named, it was actually more obvious.
For example, the President announced the establishment of the Space Force by tweeting, or the President allowed Russian partners to see all kinds of classified information, and the Russian spies kept saying, “We are not China, so you don’t have to be on guard.”
For example, the text of the president’s various messages is super simple, which is very similar to Trump’s style in reality.
This season, the new U.S. president, of course, neither appeared nor named, and only communicated the message of the U.S. government through a new official.
Compared with the first season, the second season of “Space Force” has basically disappeared from the mockery of the US president.
Speaking of which, this season has actually cut off a lot of redundant plots outside the main line of the previous season.
For example, her daughter Erin basically became a member of Mark’s team. Apart from applying to college, there is basically no separate story line.
In addition, Erin’s mother Maggie in prison only appeared in the form of a video call, and the four-star generals’ joint meeting that appeared many times last season has only a very, very small role this season.
Unlike the previous season, which revolved entirely around Mark at the beginning, the second season of “Space Force” is completely the “workplace” TV series.
There is Mark as the backbone, another pillar, Dr. Mallory, Anthony, a lively PR master, Angela and Chan, who tell a will they won’t they love story, Brad who is in charge of funny, plus one who can bring Erin, who came to the warm story, is a typical “workplace” comedy character team.
Therefore, the elimination of redundant plots is basically a correction by “Space Force”, from a spoof and even a little nonsensical story in the first season to a fairly typical “workplace” comedy.
It can’t be said that this correction is wrong, but the play still gives people a relatively strong feeling of not finding a direction.
A lot of plots have no end and end, and they often seem to fall into the rut because they have become typical “workplace” comedies.
In fact, overall, the second season of “Space Force” is still a good quality comedy, but it lacks a little “feature”.
I don’t know if it’s going to be an ordinary comedy or a spoof drama, or I haven’t figured out its own position.
If this is just a normal “workplace” comedy, it’s actually pretty good, but it’s a bit of a pity to think about the cast of this level.
Even so, the second season of “Space Force” only has 7 episodes, which is still very suitable for binge.
