The first Korean actor to be awarded Ballon d’Or was Yeong-su Oh, who appeared in ‘Squid Game’ 001′, and was recently charged by the Korean prosecution for alleged forced indecent assault.
Mydaily reported that Yeong-su Oh, 78, was reported by a woman codenamed A in late 2021 to have made inappropriate physical contact with her in 2017, and police conducted an investigation and concluded that Yeong-su Oh was not suspected of a crime, but A objected and applied to the Suwon District Prosecutor’s Office to reopen the investigation.
The prosecution found evidence to prove Yeong-su Oh’s suspicion and formally charged him recently.
Yeong-su Oh himself denied all the allegations made by A-so against him, saying there was no forced molestation, saying, “I held her hand at the lake at that time to lead the way, and later made an apology because (A-so) said he wouldn’t make a big deal out of it, which doesn’t mean I admitted to the allegations.”
